በጦር ሃይሌ ሰሊማዊ ሰሌፍን ማፈን የወያኔ መንግስት ያሇፉት 22 ዓመታት ዴርጊት ቀጣይ ኣካሌ ነው

ከኦሮሞ ነፃነት ግንባር የተሰጠ መግሇጫ

በኢትዮጵያ ተከታታይ ኣምባገነን ስርዓቶች በተሇያየ መሌኩ የሚፈፅሙት ጭቆናና ዝርፍያ በኢትዮጵያ ተጨቋኝ ህዝቦች በተሇይም

በኦሮሞ ህዝብ ሊይ ያዯረሰው ጉዲት በትዕግስት ከማይታሇፍበት ዯረጃ ሊይ በመዴረሱ የኦሮሞ ህዝብ የሰብዓዊ መብቶችንና የዱሞክራሲ

ጥያቄዎችን በማንሳት ሇረዥም ዓመታት ታግሎሌ። ይኸው የኦሮሞ ህዝብ በገዢ ስርዓቶች ሊይ ያካሄዯውና እያካሄዯ ያሇው ትግሌ፡ ዛሬ

ወዯ ከፍተኛ ዯረጃ በመሸጋገር በመሊው ኦሮሚያ ውስጥ ወዯ ህዝባዊ ዓመፅ ተቀይሯሌ። ይሁን እንጂ የኢትዮጵያ መንግስታት የኦሮሞ

ህዝብ በሰሊማዊ መንገዴ ያቀረበውን ጥያቄ ኣዴምጠው መፍትሄ ከማበጀት፡ ሃይሌን መጠቀም የሚመርጡ መሆናቸው በተዯጋጋሚ

የታየ እውነታ ነው። የኦሮሞ ህዝብ እያካሄዯ ሊሇው ፍትሃዊ ትግሌ ተገቢውን ምሊሽ ከመስጠት፡ “ፀረ-ሰሊም፤ ፀረ-ሌማት፤ ኣሸባሪዎች”

የሚለና የመሳሰለትን ስሞች በመስጠት በጅምሊ መግዯሌ፤ ማሰር፤ መዯብዯብና ከሃገር እንዱሰዯደ ማዴረግ በኢትዮጵያ መንግስታት

ሲወሰዴ የነበረና እየተወሰዴ ያሇ እርምጃ ነው።

በኣሁኑ ወቅት የኦሮሞ ተማሪዎችና ወጣቶች እንዱሁም ህዝቡ በመሊው ኦሮሚያ ውስጥ የመብት ጥያቄ በማንሳት እያካሄደት ሊሇው

የተቃውሞ ሰሌፍ እያገኙት ያሇው ምሊሽ በዘግኛኝ ሁኔታ መግዯሌ፤ መዯብዯብና ማሰር እየሆነ ነው።

በወያኔ ስርዓት መሪዎች ትዕዛዝ በስርዓቱ ታማኝ የጦር ሃይሌ በኦሮሞ ሌጆችና በኦሮሞ ህዝብ ሊይ እየተወሰዯ ባሇው እርምጃ በኣምቦ፤

በመዯ-ወሊቡና በላልችም ቦታዎች እዴሜያቸው ከ10 ዓመት በታች የሆኑ ሕጻናት የሚገኙበት በርካታ የኦሮሞ ዜጎች ተገዴሇዋሌ።

በኣምቦና በሃረማያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ውስጥ ባድ እጆቻቸውን በሆኑ ተማሪዎችና በህዝቡ ሊይ ቦምብ በማፈንዲት ህይወታቸው ጭካኔ

በተሞሊበት ሁኔታ እየተቀጠፈ ይገኛሌ፤ ኣያላ ዜጎች እስር ቤት ታጉረዋሌ። ሕጻናትና ኣዛውንት ትንሽና ትሌቅ ሳይለ በሁለም በታዎች

በኦሮሞ ዜጎች ሊይ እየተፈጸመ ያሇው ዴብዯባ እጅግ ዘግናኝ ነው።

ይህ እየተወሰዯ ያሇው እርምጃም በኣምቦ፤ ዯምቢ-ድል፤ ነቀምቴ፤ ጌድ፤ ሆሮ-ጉደሩ፥ ባላ፤ ጭሮና ከኦሮምያም ውጪ በትግራይ

መቀላና በጎጃም ውስጥ የመብት ጥያቄ ባነሱ የኦሮሞ ተማሪዎች ሊይ ሲወሰዴ በነበረው የግዴያ፤ የጅምሊ እስራትና ከትምህርት ገበታ

የማባረር ቀጣይ ኣካሌ ነው።

የወያኔ መንግስት ህዝቡ ሊነሳው የመብት ጥያቄ ኣጥጋቢ ምሊሽ ከመስጠት በሃይሌ እርምጃ ማፈን መወሰኑን የኦሮሞ ነጻነት ግንባር

ኣጥብቆ ያወግዛሌ። ይህንን በሌዪ የጦር ሃይሌ፤ ፌዳራሌ ፖሉስና ታጣቂዎች እየተወሰዯ ያሇውን ጭካኔ የተሞሊበት እርምጃ በማዘዝና

በማስፈጸሙ ረገዴ እጃቸው ያሇበት፡ የስርዓቱ ጠ/ሚኒስትር፤ የወያኔ መንግስት የጦር ሃይሌ ኣዛዥና የዯህንነት ሃሊፊ ተጠያቂ

መሆናቸውን ያስገነዝባሌ። ከዚህም በተጨማሪ በስርዓቱ የጦርና ፖሉስ ሃይልች ውስጥ ኣባሌ የሆኑ የኦሮሞ ተወሊጆች እየተገዯለ፤

እየታሰሩና እየተዯበዯቡ ያለት ኣባቶቻቸውና እናቶቻቸው፤ ወንዴሞቻቸውና እህቶቻቸው ባጠቃሊይ ወገናቸው መሆኑን ተረዴተው

እየተወሰዯ ባሇው ኣረመኔያዊና ጠሊታዊ እርምጃ እንዲይሳተፉ ብቻ ሳይሆን፡ ዴርጊቱን እንዱቃወሙት ኦነግ በዴጋሚ መሌዕክቱን

ያስተሊሌፋሌ።

የኣሇም ማህበረሰብ፤ ሇሰብዓዊ መብትና ዱሞክራሲ የሚሟገቱ ዴርጅቶችና ኣካሊት ሁለ፡ ኣምባገነኑ የወያኔ መንግስት የዱሞክራሲና ሰብዓዊ መብት ጥያቄ ባነሱ ንጹሃን ዜጎች ሊይ እየወሰዯ ያሇው እርምጃ ጸረ-ዱሞክራሲ መሆኑን ተገንዝበው፡ ዴርጊቱን በኣስቸኳይ እንዱገታ ኣስፈሊጊውን ጫና እንዱያሳዴሩበት እያሳሰበ፥ ይህንን ዴርጊት በዝምታ መመሌከት እንዯተቀዯሰ ተግባር ቆጥሮ ከዴርጊቱ እንዯመካፈሌ የሚታይ መሆኑን የኦሮሞ ነጻነት ግንባት በዴጋሚ ማስገንዘብ ይወዲሌ።

Declaration of Unity of the OLF

It is with great pleasure that we announce to our people and the supporters of our struggle for freedom

the good news that, based on the accord they made in Kampala, Uganda, in November 2012, the two

organizations of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) known as OLF Shanee Gumii (”OLF National

Council”) and OLF Qaama Ce’umsaa (”OLF Transitional Authority”) have resolved our differences and

agreed to combine our two leaderships, unify our members, merge our organizational structures and

inaugurate a reunified OLF. Although OLF has encountered many obstacles during the last forty years,

there was no time when it has stopped the struggle that it was established to lead. No one can deny the

fact that the national struggle led by the OLF has scored many victories and made many significant

achievements that have taken the Oromo people a long way toward the national goal of independence.

Among these great achievements is the level of political awareness of our people.

At the same time, we witness that the Oromo people are being targeted for extinction more than any time

before. Oppression has reached intolerable levels making our people to rise up in defiance of tyranny,

protesting peacefully in all corners of Oromia. But, as witnessed in the killings of students and others in

many places in Oromia, the TPLF regime is responding violently to their lawful demands. Defying

enemy atrocities, imprisonment, and torture the young Oromo generation are making it known to the

world that they will not tolerate humiliation and oppression anymore and that they will make the

necessary sacrifices to liberate their people and homeland from alien oppressors. The OLF extends its

condolences to families who lost their beloved sons daughters and expresses its admiration for the

courage and bravery they have shown by the young Oromo generation to defend their people’s legitimate

rights. As the vanguard of the Oromo struggle for freedom, we re-iterate our determination to continue

the struggle until our people become masters of their destiny.

The re-unification of the two organizations of the OLF is a great step that will strengthen the Oromo

struggle for freedom. United under one leadership, we are resolute to realize the principal objective of

our struggle, namely the liberation of our people and the independence of our homeland Oromia. There is

no question about the popularity of the goal of OLF-led liberation struggle among the Oromo people.

Therefore, it is with determination that we pledge to make the necessary sacrifices, withstand the

challenges ahead and carry through the Oromo national struggle to the ultimate goal of independence.

We are well aware that there are Oromo nationals who are organized separately under other names to

advance our people’s legitimate rights. We will do all we can to coordinate our efforts with them to

achieve the common goal. The OLF leadership states its decision and commitment to continue to work

and conclude the ongoing talks with other forces committed to the same goal. Hence we call on all

Oromo organizations that uphold our people’s right to self-determination and independence to join us in

carrying out this sacred mission.

We also take this opportunity to express our solidarity with the oppressed nations, nationalities and

peoples who are struggling for justice against the same tyrannical regime, and call upon them to join us

in the common struggle for basic human and democratic rights.

The TPLF-led regime’s violence against the Oromo people is abetted by military, political and economic assistance from external powers. The OLF appeals again to governments, both in the West and East to strike a balance between their national interests and their international obligation of protecting human rights and stop giving economic, military and political support to a brutal regime that is evicting our people and others from their land and killing innocent civilian who are peacefully demanding their legitimate rights.

የህዝቦች እሌቂትና መፈናቀሌ በትግሌ ብቻ ይገታሌ

የኦሮሞ ነጻነት ግንባር መግሇጫ

በኦሮሞ ህዝብ ሊይ በሚወስዯው የሃይሌ እርምጃ ከሚያዯርሰው ግዴያ፤ ማፈናቀሌና ዝርፊያ ተቆጥቦ የፖሇቲካ ችግሩን በሰሊማዊ

መንገዴ ከመፍታት ይሌቅ ጭቆናውን በኣዱስና እጅግ ኣረመኔያዊ በሆነ መሌኩ ሇማስቀጠሌ በወያኔ መንግስት የተወሰዯው እርምጃ

የኦሮሞ ወጣቶችንና የህዝቡን ቁጣ ቀስቅሶ በመሊው ኦሮሚያ ውስጥ የጋሇ የጸረ ጭቆና ኣመጽ ቀሰቀሰ። ተማሪዎችንና ህዝቡን

ባሳተፈው በዚህ ኣመጽ ውስጥም በኣስሮች የሚቆጠሩ የኦሮሞ ዜጎች በኣምባገነኑ የወያኔ ስርዓት የጭካኔ እርምጃ ህይወታቸው

ተቀጥፏሌ። የኦሮሞ ሌጆች በመቶዎች መቁሰሌ፡ በሺዎች መታሰርና ከትምህርት ገበታ መባረር በኢትዮጵያ ህዝቦችና በኣሇም

ማህበረሰብ ፊት በግሌጽ የተፈጸመ፡ በጥሊቻና ጭካኔ ሊይ የተመሰረተ ፋሽስታዊ ተግባር ነው።

ኣምባገነኑ መንግስት ይህንን የፈጸመውን ኣረመኔያዊ ግዴያ ማስተባበሌ ባሇመቻለ ቢያምንም፡ እንዯሌማደ እራሱ ባሰማራቸው

ሃይልቹ የፈጸመውን ጠሊታዊ ተግባር በላሊ ሃይሌ ሊይ በማሊከክ ከዯሙ ንጹህ ነኝ ሇማሇት እያዯረገ ያሇው ጥረት የተሇመዯና ሊሇፉት

23ዓመታት ሲገሇገሌበት የነበረ ስሌት በመሆኑ የስርዓቱን ማንነት ሇሚያውቁት ሁለ ኣዱስ ኣይሆንም።

ሁኔታው ይጣራ በሚሌ የተፈጸመውን ወንጀሌ ኣረሳስቶ ሇማስቀረትና በላሊ ሃይሌ ሊይ ሇማሊከክ ዴራማ መስራት ተዯጋግሞ የታየ

መሆኑን ቀጥሇው ከተጠቀሱት መረጃዎች ማረጋገጥ ይቻሊሌ።

1. የኦሮሞ ነጻነት ግንባር ከቻርተሩ የሽግግር መንግስት በሃይሌ ተገፍቶ በወጣበት ወቅት 20,000 የኦነግ ኣባሊትና ህዝቡ፡ ህጻናትን

ጨምሮ በዽዼሳ፡ ሁርሶና ላልችም ወታዯራዊ ካምፖች ውስጥ የተሰቃዩትንና በዝዋይ እስር ቤት ህይወታቸው የጠፋ እንዱሁም

በሃመሬሳ ሰሚ-እጥተው በዘግናኝ ሁኔታ ሲገዯለ የነበሩትን ላልች ቢረሷቸውም የጉዲቱ ሰሇባዎችና ታሪክ ኣይረሳቸውም።

በሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ የኦሮሞ ዜጎች በየጊዜው በሚያነሷቸው የመብት ጥያቄዎች ምክንያት ኣሁንም በቃሉቲ፣ ቂሉንጦ፣ ዝዋይ፣ ሸዋ

-ሮቢት እስርቤቶችና ቁጥሩ ባልታወቀ ወታደራዊ ማጎሪያ ካምፖች ውስጥ እየተሰቃዩ ነው።

2. የሲዲማ ህዝብ በኣምባገነናዊ ስርዓት መብቱን ተነፍጎ እንዯላልች የኢትዮጵያ ህዝቦች በኣባት ሃገሩ መሬት ሊይ ያሇውን

የባሇቤትነት መብት ተነጥቆ የሰቆቃ ህይወት እየኖረ ያሇ ህዝብ ነው። ከቀዬውና ከንብረቱ መፈናቀሌና መባረርን በመቃወም

የመብት ጥያቄ ኣንግቦ ሰሌፍ በወጣበት ወቅት፡ በጨቋኙ ስርዓት ጦር ሃይሌ ያሇኣንዲች ርህራሄ በጅምሊ ተረሸነ። ይህ ኣግኣዚ

በተባሇው የስርዓቱ ታማኝ ጦር የተወሰዯው እርምጃ ኣስፈሊጊው ምርመራ ተዯርጎ ህጋዊ እርምጃ ይወሰዲሌ በማሇት ወያኔ ቃሌ

ቢገባም የታየው ሃቅ፡ ጉዲዩን ኣፍኖ ማስቀረትና በእርምጃው ውስጥ ሇተካፈለት ሹመት መስጠት ሆነ። በሲዲማ ህዝብ ፍጅት

ውስጥ እጃቸው ካሇበት መካከሌ ኣንደ የወቅቱ የዯቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ብሄሮች ብሄረሰቦችና ህዝቦች ክሌሊዊ መስተዲዴር ፕሬዝዲንት

የነበረው፡ የኣሁኑ ጠቅሊይ ሚኒስትር ሃይሇማርያም ዯሳሇኝ ነው።

3. የጋምቤሊ ህዝብ መሬቱ ሇባዕዲን ባሇሃብቶች በመሸጥ ከቀዬውና መሬቱ መፈናቀለን በመቃወሙ በጅምሊ መገዯለና፡ የዘር

ማጥፋት ወንጀሌ ሰሇባ መሆኑን መሊው ኣሇም ያየውና ያወገዘው ጉዲይ ነው። ይህ በህዝቡ ሊይ የተፈጸመው እጅግ ዘግናኝ

ጭፍጨፋ ተጣርቶ ሇህግ ሳይቀርብ እርምጃውን የወሰደት ወንጀሇኞች በስርዓቱ በመሾም፡ በመመስገንና ወዯ ትግራይ እንዱሸሹ

በማዴረግ ተጠናቀቀ።

4. በኢትዮጵያ ኢምፓዬር ውስጥ ከሚገኙ ህዝቦች መካከሌ ኣንደ የሆነው የኦጋዳን ህዝብ ሇመብቱ ጥያቄ በማንሳቱና በመታገለ

ከኣምባገነኑ የወያኔ መንግስት የተሰጠው ምሊሽ በጅምሊ መጨፍጨፍ፣ ቀዬው በእሳት መጋየት፣ ንብረቱ መዘረፍና ሇኣስገዴድ

መዴፈር ወንጀሌ መጋሇጥ ነው። በወያኔ የጦርና ዯህንነት ሃይልች ሇተወሰዯው እርምጃና ሇተፈጸመው ወንጀሌ ሇተጠያቂነት

የቀረበ የሇም።

5. በ2005 የይስሙሊ ምርጫ ወቅት የምርጫው ውጤት መጭበርበሩን በመቃወም በፊንፊኔ ከተማ ሰሊማዊ ሰሌፍ ካካሄደቱ ዜጎች

መካከሌ 193ቱ በጠራራ ጸሃይ ከተገዯለ በኋሊ ጉዲዩ ተጣርቶ ሲጠናቀቅ ዲኛውን ጨምሮ ምርመራውን ያካሄደት ሰዎች ከስርዓቱ

እስራት ህይወታቸውን ሇማትረፍ ወዯ ውጪ ተሰዯው፡ የተካሄዯው ምርመራና የግዴያው ተጠያቂዎች ጉዲይ የውሃ ሽታ ሆኖ ቀረ።

Cooperation with the Regime Hostile to the Peoples’ of Ethiopia is Against the Principles of International Law.

A Statment by Oromo Liberation Front in Support of Report of Amnesty Intrnational on Human Rights Violation Against the Oromo People



In the history of shocking tortures of dictatorial regimes against the peoples ruled under thier iron fist the Ethiopian government cruelity is unparalleled. Since its ascension to power by force in 1991, the Ethiopian government’s records of human rights violation through extraordinary killings, forced disapearance, massive imprisonment, displacement and other means of suppresion against the Oromo people is incalculable. The world has repeatedly witnessed that the incumbent regime of Ethiopia is a government that adopted a policy of ruling by violence and commit harsh and cruel actions flagrantly.

Althogh the political objective of the Oromo Liberation Front is primarily to achieve and protect the rights of the Oromo people it has never remained silent when other opperesed peoples of the Ethiopian empire were attacked by the regime. It has confronted the regime, exposed and denounced its maltreatment and gross human rights abuse. The Oromo Liberation Front has accomplished its duty by repeatedly exposing and denouncing the brutal annihilation committed against the Sidama, Gambela, Ogadenia, Amhara and other peoples and also asked those powers assisting this government to stop and re-evaluate their policies and relations with such government. The Oromo Liberation Front will continue to do so. However, lack of adequate response and action from outside for the cry and appeals of these oppressed peoples fighting for democracy and liberty has encouraged the TPLF Government to continue its brutal actions against these peoples and still it has intensified state terrorism.

It is to be recalled that on October 28, 2014 the international human rights organization, Amnesty International, exposed and released a report on a gross human rights violation specifically focusing on the Oromo that has been committed by the TPLF government. The Oromo Liberation Front would like to thank Amnesty International in general; head of this report Mrs. Claire Beston in particular, for releasing this genuine and detail report.

The Oromo Liberation Front understands that the investigation and compiling of this gross human rights violation has been conducted under difficult circumstances where the government of Ethiopia never allows such enquiry.

Because of this though Amnesty International has worked hard under such difficult situation and revealed the suffering of the Oromo people, the Oromo Liberation Front would like to inform the international public that the gross human rights violation committed by TPLF government against the Oromo people is by far larger, wide and shocking in its scope than the report of Amnesty International.

Now days, no one knows how many prison cells exist in the empire state of Ethiopia. However, even if the places and the number of the prisons are not exactly known the peoples in Ethiopia know very well that there are a number of secret prison cells in different parts of the country. In particular, members of the Oromo national who are suspected having link with the Oromo Liberation Front have been detained in prison cells outside Oromia so as to distance them from their relatives. Most of these Oromo nationals are detained in the region of TPLF, Tigray, and mistreated by TPLF loyalists who are purely Tigirians.

In addition to mass killings, the TPLF government torture the Oromos psychologically; mutilate men’s sex organs, extract their teeth, rape Oromo girls and women, detain the Oromos in extremely hot and cold rooms, shower boiled and cold water on their body. They shoot and kill one Oromo in front of the other and commit so many other types of torture in order to force the Oromo refrain from demanding and exercising their rights. Arbitrary killings, mass detention and eviction of the oppressed peoples in general and the Oromo in particular from their ancestral land are the crimes against humanity that are blatantly committed and known to every one.

These crimes have been committed for the last 23 years in front of the Western and Eastern diplomats, the African diplomats and regional and international human rights organizations. It is sad that when all these gross human rights violations are committed in front of them including the DAG and African Union (AU) all of them remained silent. When such International entities are silent on such criminal acts, the peoples in Ethiopia are forced to raise questions such as what are the meanings of good governance, democracy, and human rights that these institution and organizations are talking about.

Consequently, based on existing reality, the Oromo Liberation Front would like to

pass the following messages:

1. Advocates of all human rights have a moral responsibility to thoroughly investigate and work on exposing and reporting the ongoing brutal actions by the Ethiopian government;

2. The diplomatic communities of different countries including African diplomats should not be silent on the brutal actions committed against the oppressed peoples of Ethiopia in general, and the most targeted Oromo people in particular. They should expose and put pressure on the TPF government to stop its inhuman actions;

3. Above all the African Union(AU) and DAG should stop their attempt to conceal the reality of the Oromo people and they should work on stopping the inhuman actions of the TPLF regime;

4. The Oromo Liberation Front also calls on local and international media to assess the injustice that the TPLF government commit against the oppressed peoples of the empire state of Ethiopia and disclose it to the international public;

5. There are no peoples unaffected under the brutal and hostile regime of Ethiopia. All the peoples have faced their children detained, their properties confiscated and displaced from their ancestral land. Therefore, the Oromo Liberation Front would like to remind the oppressed peoples in Ethiopia that the only means to remove the dictatorial rule of the TPLF is a concerted action. The success of the Oromo liberation struggle paves way for the success of all other peoples; hence the Oromo Liberation Front calls for other peoples in Ethiopia to cooperate with the Oromo people to remove this brutal regime of the TPLF.

6. The Oromo people: you are the prime victim and you know more than any body else that the Ethiopian government categorized you as its main enemy. Although others understand that great majority of you have been impoverished and subjected to harsh rule during the whole reign of the TPLF government, it is only if you step up the struggle for your rights that others extend their hand.

your struggle and we call for strengthen your resolve and unity for the struggle. You should understand that there is no alien who will willingly lose its advantage to protect your rights.
7. In addition, the Oromo Liberation Front calls on the Oromos in the Diaspora, to energetically appeal to different governments, human rights organizations, donors and organizations based on Amnesty International report and expose that the Oromo people are suffering under the TPLF regime and deserve attention to end this agony.
