The quest to resuscitate empire Ethiopia and it’s consequence

The Amharas are organized, the Oromians, the Sidamas and the Ogadenians are ever defiant, the TPLF leaders already sound like Mangistu of 1991 and Eritrea has won the championship of the political game of the horn of Africa. Mean time, tens of thousands of Oromians are in prison while large number of people are leaving the dying empire every day and thousands die on their way to the Arab and European countries.
Though the TPLF has been telling the world that the empire’s economy was growing 11% every year, inflation continues to deflate the buying power of birr, so many new businesses are collapsing, banks are closing and men like Abay Teshaye of TPLF are about to die being infected with a virus that often affect the dictators. Added to that, new leadership continues to emerge from within the Oromo youth and the OPDO officials are becoming more and more corrupt. Obviously, all these and other much complex issues are racing against each to make the empire’s political situation ever complex. ETHIOPIA: Political Violence Intensifies as the fifth National Election Approaches

According to a schedule released by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia, citizens will go to the polls to elect a new government on 24 May 2015. It will be Ethiopia’s fifth national election since EPRDF came to power in 1991.
In connection with the coming National Election of Ethiopia, the ruling EPRDF government has begun to wage a widespread campaign to secure again the 99.6% of parliamentarian seats it has controlled since 2010- the seats it acquired by electoral fraud. As the election date of May 2015 approaches, the government of Ethiopia has unabashedly continued its systematic violence against opposition political parties’ leaders, members, and supporters. Candidates of the opposition political parties are the major targets in all regional states in the country including the capital city, Finfinne/Addis Ababa. For example, the information that the HRLHA has obtained through its correspondents indicates that hundreds of election candidates of the opposition OFC (Oromo Federalist Congress) party from most zones of Oromia Regional State have been arrested and sent to prisons. Report on failure of OPDO’s mission in Kenya as they felt everywhere as usual

February 15, 2015The Oromo community would like to inform all its members in Kenya and the entire Oromo people, that the intended plan of Woyane to drive Oromo refugees into submission has been boycotted. The intention of forced attendance to a malicious meeting on Feb 14-2015 at the Ethiopian Embassy of Kenya, which contained a hidden agenda, has been invalidated. The plan was proposed by higher officials of Oromia Regional State. It became unsuccessful because of a strong resistance from the Oromo community at large. This outcome was due to everyone’s effort and dedication, as well as obeyed and convinced by the Oromo community’s declaration to refrain from attending this meeting. Read more…

“Ethiopia” and “empire Ethiopia”, the most confusing word

According to dictionary, “empire” means ….. extensive group of states or countries under a single supreme authority, kingdom, realm, domain, territory, imperium; commonwealth..etc
To place this topic in proper perspective, we have to go back to the very beginning of the formation of Ethiopia. If we say that is a very good place to start, then, by referring to Ethiopia as an “EMPIRE” it becomes so clear that we are not acknowledging the descendants of the Habasha tribes superiority over the rest of us. Rather, we are simply explaining the historical background of the Ethiopian state formation and it’s current status.
In other words, though the Habasha tribes are presiding or governing over the nations and nationalities who fell under their colonial rule, when we say “empire Ethiopia”, we are not saying that theses tribes are stronger than the rest of us physiologically, physically or morally. Nonetheless, the political condition under which our relationship was established with the Habasha tribes are not lawful but it has an imperium nature. Read more…

The spearhead of the TPLF regime’s Addis Ababa Master Plan, Abay Tsehaye, warns OPDO leaders, Oromo students and others who oppose it. He blames on the OPDO leaders for not speeding up the execution of Master Plan. He said the plan will be implemented by force.

Djibouti, Ethiopia Accuse Eritrea of Sabotaging Stability
By Paul RichardsonFebruary 14, 2015 (Bloomberg) — Ethiopia and Djibouti accused Eritrea of sabotaging regional stability, a charge denied by the Horn of Africa nation which has fought with both neighbors.
Eritrea’s government has a “continuous destabilization policy” and the international community should tighten sanctions, the leaders of Ethiopia and Djibouti said in a statement following a week of talks that ended on Feb. 9. They didn’t give further details on the accusations. The United Nations in 2009 imposed sanctions on Eritrea after allegations it supported insurgents in Somalia.
Eritrea’s Foreign Ministry said it was “appalled” by an “unwarranted and calumnious act of hostility.” Ethiopia’s “continued occupation of sovereign Eritrea territories” is “the singular and central cause of regional destabilization,” it said in a Thursday statement. There is “increasing awareness in the international community” that the UN sanctions are unjustified, the ministry said, without giving any details. Read more…
